Le Petit Blond de la Casbah

AATF members and a few guests attended a Jewish Film Festival screening of Le Petit Blond de la Casbah, a French-language film by director Alexandre Arcady recounting his idyllic childhood in Algiers before Algerian independence. The screening took place at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and member Lynda Hecham, who is from Algeria, shared slides to give historical and cultural context to the film in case teachers want to use it in their teaching.
