Some 20 educators attended an enlightening workshop with Jean Souvignet of the Centre International de la Langue Française in Villers-Cotterets. Souvignet was in Houston at the invitation of the French Consulate to help kick off this year’s French Cultures Festival. The full day session, held at the Alliance Française de Houston, explored the history of the French language as the official language of France and shared pedagogical materials from the newly created Centre.
