MFAH GUIDED TOUR in FRENCH

The AATF Houston rang in 2024 with an excellent guided tour in French of works from the “Rembrandt to Van Gogh: Masterpieces from the Armand Hammer Collection” exhibit, on display at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

 

Our tour guide was the exceptional Anne Breux, a senior docent at the museum. Members were in awe of Anne’s expertise and clear explanations (all in French!) of the ingenious display set up by the museum, which allowed for artwork from the collection to complete masterpieces from the MFAH. 

 

Members were able to admire classic Rembrandt portraits, discover never seen before pieces from Degas, Gauguin, Manet, and the wonderful Van Gogh’s depiction of his hospital in Saint Rémy seen through a copse of sinewy pine trees.
